Leopard Cubs: Keisha at 19 Months
Shot on Location:
Mala Mala Game Reserve, South Africa, July 2011 with the Canon 1D Mark IV, 1Ds III, 500mm f/4 and 70-200 f/2.8 II with 1.4x TC III
This is Keisha at 19 months old and she's already independent from her mom, the infamous Kikilezi female aka the Xidulu female. Cubs normally stay with their mom until around 2 years olds, so this is a very confident leopard indeed, not to mention drop dead gorgeous.
Keisha was officially named the Emsagweni female, named after her Dad and her new territory. Emsagweni had her first litter of twins in March 2016. Currently, she moves about between Mala Mala and Londolozi private game preserves.
