Leopard Cubs: Keisha at 13 Months
Shot on Location:
Mala Mala Game Reserve, South Africa, January 2011 with the Canon 1D Mark IV and 500mm f/4
This is Keisha at 13 months old and my nickname for her means alive and well. She's learning how to hunt on her own and she's as gorgeous as ever.
Lastly, see how a selfish hippo tries to chase four cheetah brothers from a waterhole.
July 2016 Update: Keisha is officially named the Emsagweni female (after her Dad and her new territory, and her mom is the Kikilezi female). Emsagweni had twins in March and her mom (now 14 years old) had twins at the same time. Unfortunately, I missed seeing them. Note: leopards move about like kitties, and the infamous Kikilezi female sometimes meanders next door to the Londolozi private reserve to mate. Over there, she's known as the Xidulu female.
