Tigers Cubs: My Favorite Tigress

Shot at Bandhavgarh and Pench Tiger Reserves, Central India, November 2011 with the Canon 1D Mark IV and 500mm f/4

This gorgeous tigeress was the Mirchahani female. She raised the 3 tiger cubs featured in the After the Monsoon gallery; and, raising triplets to adulthood is an amazing accomplishment. And the coolest thing about this sighting was that the Mirchanhani female was very much pregnant. You can actually see her teats in these images and she gave birth a few weeks after my visit.
