Lion Cubs: Bright Eyed at 4 - 6 months
Shot at Mala Mala Game Reserve, South Africa in 2009 - 2014 with the Canon 1D Mark III/IV, 1Ds III, 1Dx, 500mm and 70-200 f/2.8 II
Mala Mala is the largest private reserve in Sabi Sands and is adjacent to Krueger National Park. As a result, there's always an influx of new male lions - not to mention every animal including rhinos - and thus, you can alway see lion cubs. Many of the male lions look different than males that I see in Botswana and Tanzania - i.e., stockier with dark manes and tuffs of dark hair on their legs - and some of the cubs had extremely large feet.
